By using FINCALC AI, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Educational Use Only

FINCALC AI is an educational tool for learning accounting and finance concepts and for performing the math behind common financial decisions. It is not a substitute for licensed professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

Every calculation, step breakdown, AI explanation, and exported file is provided for educational and informational purposes only. You should not rely on the app’s output as the sole basis for a financial decision and you should verify all results with a licensed professional before acting.

AI Features

AI Tutor, AI Assistant, and Elite Operator Mode produce text and analysis using third-party large language models (Moonshot AI Kimi K2.5 and OpenAI GPT-4.1 Nano). AI output:

Is generated by statistical models that can make mistakes.
Numerical results shown in the app come from the FinCalc deterministic engine running on your device, NOT from the AI. The AI’s role is to plan and explain.
Is not financial advice and is not personalized to your situation.

You are responsible for evaluating any AI output before acting on it.

No Warranty

FINCALC AI is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

Calculations will be error-free in every scenario.
The app will be available without interruption.
Results will meet any specific regulatory or professional standard.

User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

Verifying calculation results independently before relying on them.
Ensuring exported files (XLSX, PDF) are accurate for your use case.
Maintaining the security of your device and any files you share or export.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FINCALC AI and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including financial losses based on calculation or AI outputs.

Intellectual Property

The FINCALC AI name, logo, and app code are the property of the FINCALC AI team. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app outside the terms of its license and platform store agreements.

Prohibited Use

You may not use FINCALC AI to:

Engage in illegal activity.
Misrepresent calculation or AI output as certified professional advice.
Reverse-engineer or tamper with the app, the AI proxy, or any related service for malicious purposes.
Attempt to bypass tier limits, abuse the AI proxy, or extract API keys.

Subscriptions

Paid tiers (Student, Pro, Elite) are sold via Apple App Store In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing. Subscription terms:

Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.
Cancellation must be done via the user’s App Store / Play account settings, not in this app.
Refunds are governed by Apple’s / Google’s policies, not by us.
A 7-day free trial is offered on Pro Annual and Elite Annual where eligible.

Termination

We may restrict access to premium features or services at any time, including for violation of these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Effective date” above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the user resides, to the extent applicable consumer-protection law requires.
